Nazanin Boniadi is quickly becoming a household name in the world of television and film. She co-starred with CIA Analyst Fara Sherazi in episodes three and four in Homeland, the Emmy as well as the Golden Globe award-winning drama Homeland (2011) in which she received with her a 2015 SAG Award nomination in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in the Drama Series category. Nazanin was born in Tehran in the middle of the Islamic Revolution, her parents moved to London as an infant. She performed on her violin as well as danced.  She attended an exclusive school, and later relocated to America.  In the United States, she earned the degree of bachelor’s with distinction with a major in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine .

While at UCI where She was awarded the Pin-Chun Chang undergraduate research Prize for research in molecular biology based on the topic of cancer treatment and solutions to heart transplant rejection.
